Amy Smart has been a model, actress as well as a former American. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart started her modeling career in California. The first time she acted was in the 1996 TV production Her Costly Affair. It was a struggle to land a small role in Starship Troopers. This was not easy for Amy as she had transition from modelling to acting. Models aren't considered great actors and so tend to play smaller, less important roles. Amy persevered, and eventually she landed bigger roles in the films Varsity Blues and The 70s. Amy then stepped into leading roles with the 2005s romantic comedy Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. The film became a massive commercial success, and Amy was finally able to get the success she'd been trying for for more than 10 years. She did some big films within the Crank trilogy with Jason Statham. And she was also a regular character in the Shameless series.
