Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the child of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, who is an actress director, producer, playwright, teacher, and Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk's father was British, and her mother, is a Turkish Cypriot English expat. Her mother was always watching her working in rehearsals for plays. Anna appeared in several advertisements as a kid. Anna was able to move to Toronto, Ontario, to pursue her acting. In the decade that followed, she eventually relocated into Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman met Anna at a Los Angeles actor's workshops in 2007 and the couple became engaged. Anna converted to Judaism in January 2011 and then they re-wed in a Jewish wedding in Fredericton.
