Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been an Greek American columnist, author and businesswoman for more than 20 years. She was the founder of The Huffington Post and the CEO of Thrive Global. Author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington, an independent liberal news website has a TV personality author, author and charitable donor. She emigrated from Greece to England aged 16 where she received an MA at Cambridge University in Economics. When she was 21, she became the head of the famous debate club The Cambridge Union' and was the first non-native student in the history of Cambridge University to be elected. After her graduation, she became a prominent conservative syndicated journalist. A few more years later, she founded The Huffington Post which featured critiques of the current political scene. The fame of Arianna helped in attracting several famous contributors. Arianna gained fame in 2003 after she decided to run as an independent candidate during the California recall vote to succeed then Governor Davis. In addition, she led the Detroit initiative to encourage fuel efficient cars. Forbes named her the "most powerful women" in the media industry, placing her at 12th. Guardian placed her on their list of 100 most influential media people in 2009. AOL, Inc. named her president of their media group in 2011, after they acquired The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post also included additional AOL brands such as Engadget AOLmusic Style list and Patch Media. Elli was the daughter of Konstantinos, a management and journalism consultant. She was extremely close to her father. However, it was her relationship with her mother that formed her. At a young age she demonstrated the leadership abilities for which she's still known. At the age of 16, she moved over into England in the United Kingdom for her higher education. She attended Girton College Cambridge. She joined the Cambridge Union college debate society throughout her college years in which she became the third and first female to serve as president. She graduated in 1972 with an MA in Economics. Her career as an anchor and reporter started after her graduation. She was on the show with Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she started writing her own books with his aid.
